What is Finasteride?
Finasteride was FDA-approved for the treatment of male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia) in 1997. Most men experience some degree of hair loss during the course of their life, but luckily there are treatment options which can prevent or slow down baldness.
Finasteride works by preventing testosterone from being converted into the hormone, DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT is known to contribute to male pattern hair loss, accumulating in hair follicles over time, causing them to shrink and slowing down their growth cycle.
Order Finasteride online
To access Finasteride in the United States, you must have a valid prescription. This means that a licensed physician must evaluate your suitability for Finasteride treatment, either in person or online. Here at Seven Cells, we will match you with a licensed physician in your state to perform an online assessment and determine whether Finasteride is an appropriate treatment option for you. If he or she deems you eligible for treatment, then they will issue you a prescription which can either be sent to a local pharmacy for pick-up or delivered directly to your door.
How to use
As with any other prescribed medication, you should follow your doctor’s directions when taking Finasteride. Finasteride is taken orally, once a day. It doesn’t matter what time of day you take Finasteride and you can either take it with, or without, food.
If you happen to miss a day of Finasteride, don’t worry, just skip the missed dose and continue to take your next dose as normal. Missing a single dose is unlikely to affect your hair growth and you must not double-up your next dose to make up for it.
Make sure that you read through the information provided with your Finasteride treatment, each time you receive your prescription. You should make sure that you understand how to take your medication and are aware of any relevant safety information. If you have any concerns or queries, then you should raise these with your doctor.
Any prescribed medication has the potential to cause adverse effects and Finasteride is no different. If you experience any side effects while taking Finasteride, it is important that you discuss these with your doctor. Potential side effects, associated with Finasteride use, include: decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, an ejaculation disorder, breast tenderness, skin rashes, depression and anxiety, testicular pain and neurological issues.
Usually, any side effects will resolve themselves quickly after FInasteride treatment is stopped. Rarely, sexual side effects may persist even after discontinuation of Finasteride.
